Our ceramics studio is a wonderfully creative space where you can come and explore the art and craft of working with clay. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced ceramicist, our workshops offer a chance to learn new techniques, experiment with different styles, and create unique pieces.

We run a variety of workshops, so there is something for everyone no matter what your skill level or thirst for knowledge.

Choose from:

  • Beginners’ Handbuilding (2 hours): This is a taster session to see if you like working with clay. We will teach you the basics of one hand building technique, such as coiling, pinching, or slab-building.

  • Beginner Six Week Handbuilding (12 hours): You will learn and practice each of the hand building techniques based on a particular project, and prepare the pieces for decoration and firing. We will show you how to decorate your pieces using a variety of techniques, and glaze them ready for the final firing.

  • One-to-One Beginner Wheel throwing (2 hours): In this beginner friendly class you’ll learn to wedge, center, and throw clay with private tuition from our expert potters.

  • Advanced Wheel throwing (12 hours): Once you are comfortable with all the basic wheel trowing techniques, you’ll learn to trim, decoration and fire your work with private tuition from our expert potters.

  • Flexible Studio Sessions: If you have taken both our Beginner and Refresher Workshops, or you have been doing ceramics for while and don’t need instruction just a space to work, this is for you. Contact us for pricing.

  • Seasonal Half-Day Workshops: During the year we will be running 2-3 hour workshops on weekday mornings from 10am, or in the afternoon from 2pm. No prior experience is necessary.

  • Our Studio

    We are a new studio in North Wales, with three kilns, two wheels and plenty of space for up to 12 students and two instructors. It is a bright and friendly space where you will have fun learning new skills.

    With something for all skill levels, you can choose from a variety of courses, dates, and private sessions.

    Based in North Wales, just off the 494 and close to the M53, with easy access by car and bus from Flintshire, Cheshire, and the Wirral.

  • Our Courses

    If you are a beginner we have lots of taster sessions for you to try out to see if working with clay is for you.

    Once you have the bug you can join one of our Beginner courses to set you on the road to your own ceramics career.

    If you already have some basic skills, you can make use of our space to work on your own projects.
